Ajax in Iraq
commissioned by Flux Theatre Ensemble for its June 2011 production
Ajax in Iraq, written by theatre royalty Ellen McLaughlin, is a mash-up between Sophocles' Ajax and present-day Iraq. This was the image used to promote Flux Theatre Ensemble's New York production.

It's exciting and rewarding to see the elements of the page brought to life, for lack of a better term. Good theatre takes the seamless whole into account, and this is good theatre.

One of the design decisions made during my meetings with Flux was to physically link all three production images for season 4 into one panoramic image, image no. 1 representing Dog Act by Liz Duffy Adams, image no. 2 representing Ajax in Iraq by Ellen McLaughlin, and image no. 3 by Erin Browne representing Menders.
